"Why Not?" has been our saying for the last part of 2009 and will be our saying for 2010.
It started out by me saying, "Why can't I be someone that has it together?" and "Why can't I be a fit and healthy person?" and "Why can't we stick to a budget?" and "I've always wanted to do____, but there's no way I could."
And then I thought, "Well, why not?" Why can't I do the things that I would like to do? Why can't I be the kind of mom I've wanted my children to have for the longest time? Why can't I be the person who exercises and runs and wears cute jeans? Why can't I home school my 7th grader? Why can't I keep up with the laundry?
Well, I can. I know what it requires. I know what it takes. Other people have done it and are doing it and so can I.
And so my journey began. And it continues. And it's not perfect (especially the laundry part). But I will keep going because I can.
